Ignite Phoenix And My First Response

On Wednesday night I accompanied the crew from Gangplank and Integrum to Ignite Phoenix III.  For some this was their third, others were speaking and I was a noob.  I had no idea what to expect and was curious what all the buzz was about.  How do you describe Ignite?  I am not sure anything can describe it, but I can say I walked away having had the best time I have had in a long time.  There was networking with individuals that inspired and challenged me.  There was 20 five minute presentations that ranged from BioDiesel to Brain Slicing to How Stupid You Are.  It was an ecletic gathering of intelligent, creative and energetic individuals whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

There are several Ignites around the world and I would highly suggest you look for one in your area.  It is a great three hour event that you will walk away from refreshed and ready to accomplish somthing you have been putting off or meaning to get to.  Which brings me to this post.  Welcome to my new blog.  It is Mango Blog developed by Laura Arguello.  I didn't import all of my posts from my previous blog but instead decided to move them over after I review and update them.  Some will make it, others won't.  I am just using a stock template right now, but will be changing that soon enough.

So, feel free to peek around.  Check out Mango Blog.  Come to Hacknight.  And get involved with Ignite Phoenix 4.  They are accepting submissions for presentations already.

Glad you had a good time at Ignite Phoenix. It IS very tough to explain, which is why most people seem to need to be brought to their first one, then they're hooked after that.

So thanks for helping to spread the word!

Sounds like something to try. I will follow your advise and look into something in my area. Who knows what I will do, when I've been there.
Good idea to review the posts before reposting them here. I've seen a lot blogs moving with all their old stuff and I ask myself: Why creating a new Blog at all?
