That's right, I have officially gotten "Off The Windows". I had one program left that I was using in Parallels. Any guesses? Yup, the beast that is MS SQL 2005. While I have been making the move toward mySQL, legacy systems still need maintaining. So after digging around I found SQL Explorer for Eclipse. It took a bit to get it installed, so I am posting the steps here to help others looking to bring MS SQL into Eclipse.

I have posted in the past how pleased I am with my AT&T Connect Card and, also, how happy I have been with Parallels. The two have recently crossed paths and while the relationship started off a little rocky, the two are now on solid ground and continue to please.
I have been working out of my new office in Scottsdale and last week when the cable guy came out to install the modem we found out that there was no

Say it isn't so...I had to install XAMPP on my MacBook Pro running 10.5.2 to get Coldfusion 8 running. Yeah, I know XAMPP has Apache and mySQL, but let's be honest, it was built to make PHP easier to install. So after finishing my RAID install (see earlier post) I took this opportunity to TRY and install CF8 (which never worked for me in since Leopard). So after reading

Yeah, I disappeared there for a few days. I finally received my new 100GB 7200RPM hard drive for my MacBook Pro. I know that isn't that impressive. But did I tell you it is my second internal 100GB 7200RPM drive? Yeah, that's right RAID 0. Oh and did I tell you, this is ridiculously fast? I took some pictures and I will post them tonight and also so big news for me and ColdBox.

So, after some research, I have decided it is time to do the last possible performance upgrade to my MBP and just completely void the warranty. Yup, as the guys at MacBreak Tech, call it scary fast raid or RAID 0, is where you take two or more drive and combine them into a single drive and the data is split among them. This is called

So, I finally got to install Leopard last night and let me tell you, as of this morning I think it is the neatest.
I had a few minor issues, such as

First off, I want to thank Ray Camden for the GREAT and under rated Coldfusion Wiki (Ray enjoy those items from your wishlist).
OK, formalities out of the way, I want to talk about a slick user help system using those tools and talking users into helping themselves. Every time a user would ask me a question regarding the new system we are beta testing, I would not only walk them through it, but I would also use Snapz Pro and record the steps (including that Barry White voice of mine, ok, maybe more like Pee Wee Herman, but that is not the point) for the issue at hand.

So as I said the other day, the network card in my MacBook Pro failed. It was an on again off again issue, that finally stayed off. I took it to the local Apple store and had them verify there was a problem. The concern was my warranty. But this is where I officially fell in love with Apple and will not be buying anything else (at least not for a very long time).

So lately I have been noticing my hard drive space diminishing quite a bit. Initially I attributed it to Parallels and the Windows hard drives, but then it seemed to get out of control. Having made the decision to go to a smaller, faster drive my space is at a premium. After looking and optimizing I could find nothing.

So my MacBook Pro has been acting strange ever since I got it. Sometimes it would not find a wireless network although I was a) connected with another device and b) positive it was on and c) open. It got to the point I could replicate on demand.
