It appears that the entry I made last week wasn't far off. Ars Techinca reported on Tuesday that cable providers

are going to face a serious crunch soon.

Maybe Sprint will save us with WiMax or another carrier, but it appears the shift is upon us and it is time to do something, I think the first company to provide reliable high speed wireless bandwidth at cables promised speeds are going to win this one. IPTV (which I love, hooray for Joost, Xbox 360 come fall and all of the others) and high speed wireless will be the death of the cable companies that refuse to spend money to keep up with the bandwidth demands. Time Warner, Cox and the rest of you, stop fighting over Net Neutrality and start expanded your infrastructure.
