More Flash Than a Naval Tattoo Palor
Jul 13 by Michael Benner
So last night I started prepping my new Infinity models to be assembled and painted. When I looked at the models I noticed that there was flash all over the models. I have never had to deal with this much flash, especially from a starter set.

Now maybe I was spoiled from the plastics of 40K, but I find most models come with more problems from the casts than seems acceptable.
Forgeworld Resin = Lots of flash
Warmachine (as ESPECIALLY Hordes) = Lots of gaps and incorrect fits
Infinity = Lots of flash and tiny pieces that should not be separate.
This seems to be a shame and something that could be easily resolved. I hope that gaming companies spend a little more time designing their casts and (since the above mentioned are all hand packed) train their employees to make sure legs and torsos come from the same cast and don't have huge slags of metal hanging off of them.

That being said, the Infinity rules look intriguing. They seem to almost try and take tabletop wargaming into the Real Time Realm. Not sure how this will play exactly or if it will slow down what could be a fast paced game, only time will tell, but until then, it is back to the files and the prep work.
