Hmmm, need something catchy for here...
The Switch: Day 2 {Windows XP, Parallels, and that blasted lack of a right click}
May 27 by Michael Benner
Well, this feels wrong, almost dirty, Windows XP on a Mac. So it works. And not only does it work it is faster than XP on the Vaio I just replaced with the MacBook Pro. I have installed
Firefox and SQL Server and they are both running excellent.
The only problem I have at this point (and admittedly have not done much research in it) is the lack of a RIGHT CLICK. I don't mean in OS X, I have gotten use to that, I mean when I am using XP on the Mac. I want my RIGHT CLICK back in Windows.
What I am getting excited to try is Coldfusion running in OS X and connecting to SQL running in Parallels on XP via the OSX that Coldfusion is in. Heres to hoping it works.
Speaking of Coldfusion, that is the only install that has given me fits and now I have to find out how to CRTL-ALT-DEL an app on OS X as the CF Installer has clearly stalled.
More later (after I wake up).
