OK, so after the week I just had, I needed a night off and last night was it. I sat down on the couch with my wife and we pop BUG in the DVD player.

Wow, let me say,

Ashley Judd (the second most beautiful women in the world) looked horrible, ala Charlize Theron in Monster, and it was very fitting. This movie started off innocent enough and got you wrapped up in the lives of a lonely women, her ex, her friend and the stranger. I knew nothing about this movie prior to putting it in and that was a good thing.

This movie takes you further and further into a psychotic episode of a veteran and a woman that needed him. Every 15 minutes I was shocked as the psychosis got worse and the movie took you deeper into their delusional world. I was not prepared for the end of the movie, and I left feeling like I did after I saw Requiem for a Dream for the first time.

This movie isn't for everyone, my wife thought it was not that great, but I was sucked in, chewed up and spit out. While not on par with Requiem, if you like movies in that vain then you will enjoy BUG.
